Ross Nelson

Ross Nelson is a Mortgage Loan Officer. Prior to joining Liberty Home Mortgage, Ross served as an Army Officer and Blackhawk Aviator for over 28 years. Ross is a qualified instructor pilot and maintenance test pilot. He has led Soldiers at in combat and peacetime environments in at least 9 different countries. His wife Jennifer has been by his side for his entire career, and they have three children. When not assisting clients in making the biggest financial decisions of their lives, Ross enjoys hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities. Additionally, Ross is active in his church mentoring young couples. He also volunteers as a board member and guide for Ultimate Experience Outdoors, a Veteran non-profit dedicated to providing outdoor experiences and fellowship to veterans, first responders and gold star families. Ross holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, and two master’s degrees in acquisition and procurement management; and strategic security studies. Ross believes his success in life is tied directly to the values and work ethic he developed growing up on a small family dairy farm in rural Minnesota.
